Marko Guduric opened up about the dramatic semifinal between Serbia and the United States in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

In an interview posted on the official Armani Olimpia Milan website on Thursday, the 31-year-old guard-forward took fans back to that night. With 32 seconds left in the third quarter, he hit a deep shot, drew a foul, and looked at his bench.

“I thought it was finished. The game is over,” he recalled, describing how his teammates were already jumping at half-court.

But then Steph Curry happened. Team USA mounted a furious fourth-quarter comeback, capitalizing on Serbian fatigue.

“Being so close, everybody being so focused, so sharp, all the guys. Whoever got in the game, he gave 100% of his abilities,” added Guduric. “We were so close. We just lost a little bit of energy at the end, I think.”

Guduric still considers it one of the greatest games ever played. Serbia rebounded to capture the bronze medal the following day.

Back in the EuroLeague, the former champion sits at the start of his 11th season. A veteran of 322 appearances and now with Milan, he is averaging 15.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game. His early production has helped the Italian squad secure a 1-1 record through the first two rounds of the 2026–27 Regular Season.

After transitioning to the NBA for the 2019–20 Regular Season, where he averaged 3.9 points over 44 games, he returned to Fener. In 2025, he made the move from Istanbul to Milan.
