Vitor Faverani who finished the season in Murcia proved to be more than unlucky. The explosive center was cut from the Brazilian national team due to a knee injury, as the Brazilian federation announced.
The player will not be able to recover in time and he will miss the Rio Olympic Games. Coach Ruben Magnano still needs to cut one more player in order to finalize its 12 player roster.
It’s certain that one more center will be cut, because the roster includes also five more big men: Anderson Varejao, Nene, Guilherme Giovannoni, Augusto Lima and Rafael Hettsheimeir.
