Zalgiris captures its second straight win in Lithuania.

Zalgiris Kaunas beat Pasvalys 77 – 74 on the road for Round 21 of the Lithuanian League season. The defending champions and top-placed team improved their record to 19-2 while their opponents dropped to 6-15 and the last place in the standings.

Nigel Hayes (15 points, eight rebounds), KC Rivers (13 points), Thomas Walkup (10 points, five assists) and Zach LeDay (10 points, five rebounds) stood out for Zalgiris. Sarunas Jasikevicius’ players outscored Pasvalys 14 – 23 in the final period to reach the win.

Miha Lapornik dropped a game-high 20 points for Pasvalys. Michael Bruesewitz added 17 points, Paulius Petrilevicius scored 12 points, John Gillon 11 and Edgars Lasenbergs.
