The Israeli Winner League announced a few days prior that the season will be finally concluded and games will start again on June 20, with Maccabi Tel Aviv later on stating that they won’t participate if EuroLeague resumes action.

Bearing in mind that EuroLeague wants to finish the season between July 4 and 26, games for both competitions will interfere with each other.

Maccabi presented the Israeli League with a solution on the scheduling issue, suggesting a plan that includes playing the entire third round, as well as shortened playoffs prior to the Final Four. However, it also includes a break in the Israeli tournament which will permit Maccabi to play in the EuroLeague tournament, while the other teams remain idle.

In a statement issued, the team also clarified that they are open to discuss other alternatives in order to be able to participate both in Winner League and EuroLeague.
