Macccabi registered its second straight win.

Scottie Wilbekin scored a game-high 23 points and dished out seven assists as Maccabi Tel Aviv beat Hapoel Jerusalem 93 – 82 for Round 28 of the Israeli Winner League. Thanks to this win the “Yellows” went to a league-best 24-3 record while leaving their second-placed opponents to 21-6.

Angelo Caloiaro added 16 points and nine rebounds while projected lottery pick Deni Avdija posted 11 out of his 15 points (6/8 2-pointers, 1/4 triples) in the first period when Maccabi took a 27 – 14 lead. He also had six rebounds, four steals and four assists in 31 minutes. Othello Hunter contributed 14 points and six boards.

For Hapoel, Tamir Blatt dropped 20 points and James Feldeine had 18 points. John Holland finished with 15 points and six rebounds. Jerusalem was unable to catch up with Maccabi after they fell behind in the first quarter and were down 21, 77 – 56 entering the fourth period.
