Tyler Dorsey scored 20 points, Scottie Wilbekin added 17 points including the game-winner, and Maccabi Tel Aviv defeated Hapoel Gilboa Galil 81 – 78 to advance to the Israeli Winner League Final (Tuesday, 28/7).

Maccabi Tel Aviv will face Maccabi Rishon for the championship title.

With the score 78 – 78 and 2.7 to play, Wilbekin, who was suspended from playing in Game 3 of the quarterfinals, drained the triple that handed his team the win. After coming back from a 13-point deficit to ultimately tie the game, Gilboa Galil didn’t manage to force the overtime.

Joe Thomasson (15 points) and Akil Mitchell (14 points, eight rebounds) stood out for Gilboa Galil. Mitchell was the one to tie the score at 78 before Wilbekin’s game-winner.

NBA prospect Deni Avdija finished with 11 points (5/10 2-pointers, 0/4 triples) and nine rebounds during the team-high 37 minutes he stayed on the court.

Earlier on Sunday, Rishon eliminated Hapoel Jerusalem thanks to a tough 3-pointer by Adam Ariel.
