Red-hot Lietkabelis opens Week 7 action in the Lithuanian league with yet another victory

The Rytas Vilnius versus Zalgiris Kaunas clash certainly highlighted the weekend LKL schedule and it belonged to the latter.

Rytas – Zalgiris 72-84

Rytas had a promising start but Zalgiris eventually overpowered them and turned the tables. Marius Grigonis led the way with 13 points followed by Lukas Lekavicius and Augustine Rubit with 12 each.

For Rytas, Demetrius Jackson banked 18 in addition to Mindaugas Girdzunas’ 15 points.

Juventus – Lietkabelis 76-78

A late 7-1 run extended the domestic winning streak to five games for the team coached by Nenad Canak. Kyle Vinales ended up with a game-high 20 points after guaranteeing the “W” from the free-throw line.

On the other side, Zygimantas Skucas and Martynas Gecevicius shared a team-high 12 points.

Nevezis – Siauliai 96-77

Panagiotis Kalaitzakis scored 19 points for the winning side while Domantas Vilys followed with 18 and Julius Kazakauskas with 13 points.

For Siauliai, Arminas Urbutis scored game-high 21 points and Elvar Mar Fridriksson 14 points.

Cbet – Dzukija 81-74

Regimantas Miniotas logged a huge double-double for the victors with 24 points and 17 rebounds while Marquis Jurell Wright had 21 points.

For Dzukija, Artūras Jomantas had 20 and Matas Jucikas 16 points.
