Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv tips off its 2020-21 domestic league run from the fourth round

Rescheduling most games of earlier Winner League rounds shifted the domestic opener for Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv to Round 4. Giannis Sfairopoulos’ side, despite resting some players, claimed the “W”.

Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv – Hapoel Yossi Avrahami Eilat 86-74

Ante Zizic stood out with 24 points and nine rebounds to his name also earned eight fouls. Sandy Cohen followed with 17 points and Elijah Bryant posted 16.

Casey Prather banked 19 points for the visitors.

Maccabi Rishon LeZion – Hapoel Holon 100-91

Isaiah Taylor punched in 27 points and Trey Lewis produced 19 of his own earning a positive start for the team coached by Guy Goodes.

For Holon, Tyrus McGee made his way up to 24 points.

Gilboa Galil – Hapoel Tel Aviv 88-68

Yiftach Ziv and Kerry Blackshear Jr. scored 15 points each for the victors while Netanel Artzi helped with 13.

On the other side, Talib Zanna scored 15 and Bar Timor 13 points.

Maccabi Haifa – Hapoel Be’er Sheva 61-102

Caleb Agada was leading the furious charge of the guests with 28 points, ten rebounds and eight assists, falling just a bit short of a triple-double.

Eric Griffin followed with 22 and Travis Warech with 20 points. For Haifa, Chris Dowe scored 14 and Donta Smith 11 points.

Hapoel Jerusalem – Ironi Nahariya 91-82

TaShawn Thomas logged 19 points, nine rebounds, five assists and two steals for the hosts while Tamir Blatt followed with 18 points and ten rebounds.

For Ironi Nahariya, Devon Scott scored 22 in addition to Kalin Lucas’ 20 points.

Ironi Nes Ziona – Bnei Rav-Bariach Herzliya 80-74

Former Tennessee State standout Patrick Miller fired in 19 points for his side improving to 1-1. Kwan Cheatham Jr. added 18 points and Tal Dunne 16.

Frank Brandon Gaines went up to 27 but was not enough for the side coached by Sharon Drucker.
