Zalgiris struggled on the road but Joffrey Lauvegne saved the day

Zalgiris Kaunas keeps up its winning streak in the Lithuanian League despite a tough game against Lietkabelis on the road on Sunday.

Zalgiris (10-1) reached the 82-77 victory to finish the week on a completely winning note. Joffrey Lauvergne stepped up for Martin Schiller’s squad, adding 17 points and 5 boards, while Marius Grigonis had 11 points and 8 assists. Lietkabelis’ (7-3) Kyle Vinales led the hosts with 19 points and 4 assists.

Earlier this week and as the league has accumulated many rescheduled games, Alytaus Dzukija (3-6) beat CBet (7-3) 91-77. Guard Kristupas Zemaitis led the winning side with 26 points, 6 rebounds and Giedrius Staniulis posted a double-double of 14 points and 10 rebounds. Mindaugas Susinskas dropped 22 points for the visitors.
