Crvena Zvezda broke the resistance of the young Mega Soccerbet squad in the second half and logged a 00-00 win in the Radivoj Korac Cup Final.

Zvezda won the competition, which exists since 2002,  for the seventh time and has gotten closer to Partizan which is currently the winningest team with eight trophies.

Coach Dejan Radonjic managed the minutes of his team carefully splitting them among ten players with Johnny O’Bryant and Dejan Davidovac leading the way with 14 points each. Branko Lazic added ten.

Marko Jagodic Kuridza scored eight but also grabbed 11 boards which were crucial in Zvezda’s efforts. The red-and-white grabbed a total of 15 offensive rebounds and that has made things much easier in their run to victory.

For Mega, Filip Petrusev banked in 21 points on 8-12 shooting as he tried to keep his team alive near the end but his efforts weren’t enough. Marko Simonovic helped out with 12 points.
