Paulius Jankunas scored 21 points without missing a shot as Zalgiris Kaunas beat Lietkabelis 94 – 88 on the road to capture its 21th win in 23 games of the Lithuanian league.
Jankunas shot 3-3 2-pointers, 4-4 from the 3-point line and 3-3 free throws while also grabbing nine rebounds in 28 minutes. Martinas Geben and Lukas Lekavicius scored 12 points apiece while Patricio Garino also posted 12 points in 13:32 minutes in his best game since his return to action.
Kyle Vinales had 28 points plus seven assists and Dorde Gagic added 19 points plus nine rebounds for Lietkabelis. The hosts were up 30 – 26 after the first quarter but then Zalgiris turned everything upside down to get a 46 – 58 halftime lead thanks to a 0 – 18 run. They remained ahead for the rest of the match.
