After securing the top seed of the LKL playoffs, Zalgiris marches on to the ninth win in a row

Zalgiris punched in its ninth straight win in the Lithuanian league, 99-66, against Nevezis on Sunday.

Nigel Hayes went for 15 points making 6/11 from the field. Augustine Rubit followed with 14 points. Joffrey Lauvergne had ten points and nine rebounds. Marius Grigonis and Thomas Walkup sat out the LKL contest. Ariel Hukporti scored a game-high 17 points for the losing side.

Zalgiris confirmed first place in the Regular Season standings earlier this week before improving to 30-3. Rytas will enter the playoffs as the second seed thanks to the 104-68 victory versus Siauliai upping its record to 25-7. Lietkabelis at 21-12 and Juventus at 21-13 currently rank third and fourth, respectively.
