Maccabi Tel Aviv put on some of its famous defense to shut down Hapoel Holon 86 – 65 and capture its second straight win following the resumption of the Israeli Winner League season.
Ante Zizic led Maccabi‘s scorers with 15 points while Angelo Caloiaro had 14 points and five rebounds. Scottie Wilbekin and Dragan Bender dropped 13 points apiece for Maccabi that finished the game with 27 assists.
Nate Sestina had 20 points, Willy Workman finished with 11 plus seven rebounds and CJ Harris scored 11 as well for Holon. The team committed 21 turnovers, giving its opponents plenty more scoring opportunities, something that Maccabi put to efficient use.
Maccabi, the undisputed leader of the standings, improved to 23 – 5 while Holon is 17 -9 and tied with Eilat and Gilboa Galil for the second place.
