Mike Krzyzewski is reported to have decided to finish his career after the upcoming year.

Longtime Duke head coach and former Team USA boss Mike Krzyzewski has made the decision to retire after the 2021-2022 season according to The Stadium’s Jeff Goodman.

A five-time (1991, 1992, 2001, 2010, 2015) NCAA champion, Krzyzewski, has been coaching Duke since 1980. Apart from the NCAA titles, he’s led the Duke to 12 Final Four tournaments while winning College Coach of the Year in 1989, 1992 and 1999.

Krzyzewski was the coach that helped restore Team USA’s status as the most dominant team in major international competitions. He took over in 2005 and after the bronze medal of the 2006 World Cup, USA won first place in the 2008 Olympic Games, the 2010 World Cup, the 2012 Olympics, the 2014 World Cup and the 2016 Olympics.
