EuroLeague superstars and former champions Nick Calathes (Barcelona) and Will Clyburn (CSKA Moscow) are joining Team Hines for the 2021 edition of The Basketball Tournament. Calathes previously played with the Team Hines in 2019.
Team Hines, that is aiming to win The Basketball Tournament for the first time this year, has such players as Kendrick Ray, Stanton Kidd, Isaiah Miles and, of course, four-time EuroLeague champion Kyle Hines who is returning to his squad after taking last summer off. Hines played with Clyburn on CSKA from 2017 to 2020, winning the 2019 EuroLeague championship.
64 teams are participating in The Basketball Tournament that will be held from July 16 to August 3. It is going to start with teams competing in four regional locations and will be completed in Dayton Ohio for the championship weekend. Golden Eagles are the defending champions.
