After winning MVP awards in three different European competitions, Tyrese Rice added yet another one in his trophy case. That of The Basketball Tournament.
Rice’s Boeheim’s Army beat Team 23 69 – 67 in the Final of the 2021 edition of TBT and won the championship for the first time after seven straight years of participation. The former EuroLeague and EuroCup champion was also named to the All-Tournament Team.
Keifer Sykes, another European basketball alumni, hit the game-winner with a bucket from beyond the arc. He finished with a game-high 21 points, plus four assists.
Shams Charania later reported that Sykes has agreed to a deal with the Indiana Pacers.
