Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv falls to Hapoel Gilboa Galil in the second round of the Israel League

Hapoel Gilboa Galil came back from an early 10-point deficit to take down Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv, 87-83, on Sunday.

Sacha Killeya-Jones put his mark on the Winner League Regular Season Round 2 with 18 points and 14 rebounds. Ronnie Harrell and Michael Brisker contributed 14 points apiece. London Perrantes added a 14-point, 10-assist double-double.

The team coached by Giannis Sfairopoulos on the heels of the first double-game week of the 2021-22 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Regular Season failed to hold on to the 10-point lead built in the first quarter. The hosts bounced back from the 23-13 deficit, stayed close, and got the job done with a 4-0 run in the last 42 seconds initiated by a couple of free throws sank by Harrell.
