Maccabi Tel Aviv was taking no prisoners against Rishon.

Maccabi Tel Aviv reacted after the EuroLeague defeat at Olympiacos Piraeus by crushing bottom-placed Maccabi Rishon 86 – 56 on the road for the Israeli League.

Oz Blayzer had 20 points plus seven rebounds in just 22 minutes to pace Maccabi. The Yellows made their intentions clear right from the beginning, taking a 19 – 9 lead at the end of the first period and closing halftime up 43 – 22. They kept expanding the margin before slowing down their rhythm a bit down the stretch.

Romain Sorkin pitched in 12 points plus five rebounds for Maccabi while Ante Zizic and Keenan Evans scored 12 apiece. Maurice Kemp had 15 points plus 10 rebounds for Rishon and Kris Clyburn dropped 12 points.

Maccabi improved to 5-2, a  league-best record that is shared with Hapoel Jerusalem, Hapoel Holon and Gilboa Galil. Rishon is 1-6.
