After getting a taste of coaching as an assistant at Crvena Zvezda, Marko Simonovic takes over another Serbian club.

Former EuroLeague veteran forward Marko Simonovic will get his first head coach job with Serbian League club Radnicki Kragujevac per Meridian.

Simonovic was briefly an assistant coach at former team Crvena Zvezda in 2022. He retired with the Red Star jersey at the end of the 2021-22 season.

During his playing career, Simonovic won four ABA League and four Serbian League championship titles with Zvezda, along with three Montenegrin League titles as a player of Buducnost. He appeared in 104 EuroLeague games over five seasons with Red Star, averaging 7.5 points and 2.4 rebounds.

Simonovic was also a member of the Serbian national team that won silver medal in the 2014 World Cup and the 2016 Olympic Games.
