A seventh straight win across all competitions for Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv

Overcoming a slow start in the latest domestic showing, Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv built a safe separation in the second half to defeat Hapoel Altshuler Shaham Be’er Sheva/Dimona, 90-77, in Menora Mivtachim Arena on Saturday.

Roman Sorkin paved the way with 21 points and nine rebounds. Israel’s reigning league and cup champions went up to 21-3 in the Ligat Winner, including 17 straight wins in the Regular Season. Combined with the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, the seventh win in a row across all competitions.

Besides Lorenzo Brown enjoying the arrival of a newborn boy, Jasiel Rivero and Bonzie Colson were also sidelined for Round 26 of the Regular Season. After a recent ankle injury, Rafi Menco stayed on the bench.
