DeMarcus Cousins had a heated argument with fans during a game between the Guaynabo Mets and Bayamon Vaqueros.

After playing 26 minutes on Monday, the incident led the referees to eject the former NBA player from the Baloncesto Superior Nacional contest.

However, the situation escalated in the tunnel, with the experienced big on his way to the locker room, as other fans in the Coliseo Ruben Rodriguez threw drinks at him.

Cousins had 11 points with 4/11 field goals, seven rebounds, five assists, and two steals. His side went on to lose, 101-91, with fellow former NBA player Danilo Gallinari putting in a 14-point, 11-rebound double-double for the winning side.

Over ten appearances in his second stint with the Mets, Cousins has tallied 18.2 points, 9.0 rebounds, 4.7 assists, 1.4 steals, and 1.4 blocks per game in the 2025 season of the BSN. The first spell lasted through the 2023 edition of the top-tier division of Puerto Rico. Further recent overseas experience extended to Taiwan and Mongolia.

Coming out of Kentucky and drafted with the fifth pick of the 2010 NBA draft, Cousins went on to play 674 games in the league until 2022. From a long stay with the Sacramento Kings to briefer spells with Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Clippers, Denver Nuggets, New Orleans Pelicans, Houston Rockets, and Milwaukee Bucks. Between 2015 and 2018, he earned a spot in the annual All-Star Game and was also named to the All-NBA Second Team in 2015 and 2016.
