Elijah Bryant’s availability for Hapoel Tel Aviv’s playoff run is now in serious doubt after the American guard left Israel and returned to the United States earlier this week.
Bryant was not included in the squad for Thursday’s Tel Aviv derby, with the club continuing to evaluate an injury he reportedly suffered during the EuroLeague playoffs. According to report from Walla Sport, the 30-year-old could undergo a medical procedure that would sideline him for around two months.
The former EuroLeague champion only recently returned to Israel, but informed the club that he was still dealing with physical issues. Hapoel’s medical staff conducted additional examinations, though a final decision regarding treatment has not yet been made.
If Bryant proceeds with the procedure, there is a strong possibility he will miss the remainder of the domestic playoffs in order to be fully ready for the start of next season.
