After dropping the opening game of the series, Hapoel Tel Aviv responded with back-to-back victories and punched its ticket to the Israeli League semifinals.
Dimitris Itoudis’ team sealed the series with a 96-83 win in the decisive Game 3.
Vasilije Micic led the way with 23 points and seven assists, while Jonathan Motley added 22 points. Yam Madar contributed 19 points and five assists in the victory.
For Maccabi Rishon LeZion, DJ Burns scored 20 points and Gabe DeVoe added 18, while Josh Freund and Golan Gutt finished with 12 points apiece.
Hapoel Tel Aviv will now face Hapoel Jerusalem in the semifinals, while Maccabi Tel Aviv and Hapoel Holon will meet in the other matchup.
