Zalgiris won the title in the Lithuanian league after defeating Juventus in Game 3 of the Finals in Kaunas, with a score of 95-77.
In this way, Zalgiris finished the series in their favor with 3-0 and managed to defend the throne, which they reclaimed from Rytas last season.
Dustin Sleva was the top scorer for the home team with 19 points, Moses Wright added 15, Sylvain Francisco 13, while Nigel Williams-Goss recorded a double-double with 11 points and 10 assists.
On the other hand, Maxwell Lewis scored 25 points, Lukas Uleckas 17, while Paulius Valinskas finished the match with 16 points.
Zalgiris came to the throne dominantly, scoring a total of 81 points more than their rivals in the three games, who were evidently exhausted on their way to the finals.
In Game 3, the Kaunas team quickly took a significant lead. Zalgiris led 28-18 at the end of the first quarter, and interestingly, they won all four quarters.
Juventus failed to even threaten their opponent, but this does not change the fact that they reached the playoff finals from seventh place in the regular season, eliminating Rytas and then Neptunas, two teams that were favored in the series against them.
