Greek-American Tyler Dorsey and Ukrainian Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk couldn’t make the big step to the NCAA Final Four, as both Oregon Ducks and Kansas Jayhawks were defeated in the Elite 8.

It was all about the explosive scorer Buddy Hield in the easy 80-68 win of Oklahoma over Oregon. Hield who is expected to be a top10 pick in the upcoming NBA draft couldn’t be denied with 37 points on 8/13 threes. Dorsey ended his season with 11 points, 3/10 field goals, 3 rebounds, 1 assists, 2 steals and 2 turnovers. The freshman from Oregon is expected to be part of the Greek national team pre-selection for the upcoming pre-Olympic tournament of Turin, Italy.

Mikhailiuk couldn’t be a factor in 7 minutes of action in the 64-59 win of Villanova over Kansas which got 11 points by Ryan Arcidiacono. He also has a dual citizenship, due to his Italian origin, and despite being called also in the junior American teams, he has also played with the “second” Italian national team in friendly tournaments.
