Zalgiris Kaunas recovered in style after the EuroLeague defeat by Olympiacos in Piraeus, by destroying Dzukija 96 – 68 at home.

Kevin Pangos and Arturas Milaknis scored 15 apiece as Lithuanian league standings leaders Zalgiris Kaunas easily beat Dzukija, improving their record to 21 – 2.

Coach Jasikevicius also gave plenty of playing time to the younger players in his squad with Isaiah Hartenstein scoring 8 points, grabbing 9 rebounds and stealing the ball four times in 24 minutes while Paulius Valinskas added 12 points.

The defending champs took a 54 – 32 lead at halftime, making things easy for them quite early. Jonathan Hudson (11 points), Karols Gusciskas (10 points) and Gediminas Navickas stood out for Dzukija that is now third from the last spot in the standings with a 16 – 7 record.
