Eleventh in standings Ashdod forced Maccabi Tel Aviv into its 11th defeat in its last 13th games (in all competitions) and dropped them to the fourth seed in the last game of the Israeli League regular season.

With five players scoring in double figures, Maccabi Ashdod shut down Maccabi Tel Aviv 80 – 70 adding another loss to the long series of negative results for the “Yellows”.

Maccabi Tel Aviv is now fourth in the Israeli League standings with a 19 – 13 record (Hapoel Jerusalem has the same win/loss but owns the tiebreaker) while Ashdod improved to 13 – 20, remaining at the 11th spot.

Mario Little dropped 15 points and grabbed 5 rebounds while former Maccabi Tel Aviv player Jake Cohen posted a double/double of 13 points/10 rebounds. Ben Altit scored 14, Chase Simon 11, Kevin Dillard 10, as many as Jackie Carmichael.

For the losing squad, Victor Rudd finished with 17 points, Drew Goudelock had 16 and DJ Seeley 12.
