Kevin Pangos scored 10 out of his 19 points in the fourth period and also posted 4 assists as Zalgiris Kaunas beat Lietuvos Rytas 70 – 67 in Vilnius to improve its Lithuanian League record to 5-1.

Brandon Davies was also pivotal, flirting with the double-double after 15 points/9 rebounds. Axel Toupane and Edgaras Ulanovas added 10 points apiece.

Robert Carter and Chris Kramer scored 12 points each for the hosts that led  57 – 53 early in the fourth quarter. Or until Pangos began to catch fire.

The Canadian guard dropped bucket after bucket, pacing his squad through a 4 – 13 partial score for the 61 – 66 with 1:14 remaining. It was more than enough for Zalgiris.

Lietuvos Rytas is now 4-2 and fourth in the standings.
