Jake Cohen registered game-highs 19 points, 9 rebounds and 30 PIR as Maccabi Tel Aviv beat Maccabi Rishon 85 – 74 to remain at the top of the Israeli League standings with a 13 – 3 record.
Michael Roll added 14 points plus 6 assists and DeShaun Thomas scored 13 for the “Yellows” that entered the fourth period up 65 – 48 and never felt threatened afterward.
Mark Tollefsen posted a double-double of 14 points and 10 assists while Idal Zalmanson scored 12 for Rishon that is now 7th with a 7 – 9 record.
Maccabi Tel Aviv will now look to the crucial EuroLeague battle against Barcelona at home.
