Maccabi Tel Aviv prevailed over Maccabi Ashdod 92 – 86 in the Menora Mivtachim Arena. The Israeli powerhouse suffered more than expected to improve to a 14-3 record in the Winner League.
Neven Spahija’s men had a 46 – 37 lead at the break. Maccabi Tel Aviv was in charge during the entire second half despite winning by just 6 points at the end.
DeShaun Thomas led the hosts in scoring with 20 points while John DiBartolomeo contributed to the victory with 11 points and 10 assists. Pierre Jackson paced the winners with 10 points, 10 assists and 5 rebounds.
Sek Henry’s 29 points and 5 assists weren’t enough for Maccabi Ashdod.
