Despite starting the game off slow, Zalgiris Kaunas defeated Lietkabelis away from home 74 – 81. Kaunas’ team improved its record to 29-4.

In the first half both teams were going at it from inside the three-point line, but from beyond the arc, both sides converted on only one three-pointer (39-39). The third quarter was the key to the victory as Jasikevicius’ team pulled away thanks to Aaron White’s dunks (52-64). The hosts tried to start a comeback, but it was in the last two minutes of the contest and thus did not affect the outcome.

Kevin Pangos flirted with a double-double as he put up 14 points and nine assists, while Brandon Davies added a game-high 23 points.

The bad news of the day, however, came from Zalgiris‘ side as Edgaras Ullanovas left the game with an apparent leg injury.

Earlier Pieno Zvaigzdes defeated the former team of LiAngelo and LaMelo Ball, BC Vytautas and so Vytautas will be relegated to the second category.
