Despite a balanced first half with no team creating a significant advantage, Zalgiris Kaunas dominated the second part of the game to record an 82-56 victory against Juventus Utena and improve their winning streak to seven in a row in Lithuanian League.

Zalgiris had only a one-point advantage after twenty minutes (34-33) but the locker room talk certainly changed things for them as they went out with more energy and focus. The second half was theirs for the taking as they won it 48-23 and left no chance to the opponent.

Vasilije Micic led the winning side with 14 points in addition to Beno Udrih’s 11 and Antanas Kavaliauskas’ 10 points. On the other side, Mindaugas Kupsas scored a game-high 21 points but was effectively closed out in the second half by Zalgiris’ defense which had a major impact on the final result.
