Guided by a dominant second half, Maccabi Tel Aviv prevailed over Keith Langford’s Rishon.

The frontline duo of Alex Tyus and Jake Cohen helped Maccabi Tel Aviv defeat Maccabi Rishon 84 – 73 on the road and get the “Yellows” back on a winning track in the Israeli League.

Tyus posted a game-high 25 PIR after notching a double-double of 13 points/13 rebounds while Cohen finished with a team-high 19 points, seven boards plus a 13 +/- for Maccabi that got its engines running in the second half after trailing 40 – 35 at the break.

Led by Keith Langford, who scored 12 out of his 19 points during the first half, Rishon had managed to get to the locker rooms with the aforementioned advantage but its opponents dominated 26 – 19 at the third period and remained up for the remainder of the match.

Drew Crawford scored 21 for Rishon that fell 10th with 11 – 20. Maccabi Tel Aviv, on the other hand, improved to 21 – 11 and remains first, tied with Hapoel Holon.
