In a clash of defenses, Lietuvos Rytas came out on top against Neptunas Klaipeda and after a 67-49 road victory tied the Lithuanian League semifinal series at 1-1.
It was Rytas’ defensive effort that forced the hosts to take a lot of tough contested shots. Τhey missed and that seemed to affect their confidence for the rest of the game. Neptunas made only 13 field goals and were especially ineffective from behind the arc as they made only two triples out of 25 attempts. They also had some trouble from the free throw line as they missed ten times (21 made out of 31).
Loukas Mavrokefalidis led the winning side with 18 points while Jimmy Baron helped with 16 in addition to Rokas Giedraitis’ ten points. On the other side, there were no double-digit scorers and the most efficient one was Tomas Delininkaitis with nine points.
