After trailing 52 – 47 at halftime Maccabi overpowered its opponents 27 – 18 in the third period. Coach Neven Spahija’s players remained hot and further extended their lead to close the game without any problems.

The efforts of the trio of Talib Zanna (an outstanding double-double of 21 points/19 rebounds), Gary Ramirez (20 points, eight assists, five rebounds) and Daequan Cook (20 points) weren’t enough for Nes Ziona that couldn’t stop their hosts from putting the ball through the hoop.
