Donatas Motiejunas has signed a new and rather lucrative contract with Chinese club Shandong Golden Stars, according to Lithuanian website 15Min.lt.

The new deal between Motiejunas and the Shandong will earn him 400.000 per month. The 27-year-old Lithuanian forward/center’s total contract earnings are estimated close to three million dollars, making him the highest-paid Lithuanian athlete after Toronto Raptors center Jonas Valanciunas.

Last season Motiejunas averaged 23.2 points and 11.8 rebounds per game, helping Snadong make it to the Chinese League’s semifinals.

This will be Motiejunas second consecutive season in China. Throughout his career, the Lithuanian big has played for such teams as Houston Rockets and the New Orleans Pelicans, before joining Shandong.
