Zalgiris Kaunas broke the resistance of Lietuvos Rytas in the third quarter and recorded an 82-78 road win in Game 4 of Lithuanian League Finals. After this victory, Zalgiris leads the best-of-seven series 3-1.

The hosts put up a fight during the first half keeping the game fairly balanced and going on the break with a four-point advantage (43-39) but Zalgiris came out of the locker room set on finishing things as soon as possible.

They delivered on both sides of the floor in the third quarter allowing the opponent only nine points while scoring five times from behind the arc in order to bank 24 themselves. That run put them ahead by an 11-point margin (63-52) which gave them enough space to close the game safely.

Beno Udrih led the victors with 16 points and six assists while Paulius Jankunas and Arturas Milaknis added nine points each. On the other side, Martynas Echodas scored 16 in addition to Mindaugas Girdziunas and Rokas Giedraitis’ 14 points.
