Bryant Crawford banked 20 points along with nine assists leading Gilboa Galil squad to a 98-94 home win against Maccabi Tel Aviv on Day 5 of Israeli League. On the night that Ramon Sessions arrived in Israel, his new team was the victim of an upset.

Ian Miller led the victors with 21 points while Netanel Artzi added 16. On the other side, Johnny O’Bryant had a great night with game-high 31 points and Yovel Zoosman scored 19 of his own.

The first ten minutes were quite exciting for the fans as both teams put on an offensive clinic and were tied at 35. However, everything slowed down and Gilboa seemed to manage better in that situation as they went on the halftime break with a 54-47 lead.

The hosts kept their advantage throughout the second half and although Maccabi decreased the deficit to just two points (96-94) in the last minute, it was too late. Home players stayed calm and secured the game with perfect free throw shooting.

Both teams now hold a 4-1 record and share the top of the standings with Hapoel Jerusalem and UNET Holon.
