Vasa Pusica has started hot his senior year in NCAA. On Thursday night the young Serb guard put in a 20-point performance in Northeastern (2-1) 68-52 win over Alabama (2-1) at the Charleston Classic. He added up to a total of 61 points, 20.3 per game, in his first three 2018-19 appearances. His teammate, Shaquille Walters, got two points against the Crimson Tide.

The two Huskies players weren’t the only Europeans in action, as Jon Axel Gudmundsson got a 33-point career-high in Davidson (3-0) 57-53 win against Wichita State. His European teammates, Luka Brajkovic (2pts, 6reb, 2ast), Dusan Kovacevic (1reb) and David Czerapowicz (1reb) also played, as did Asbjorn Midtgaard (1reb) for the losing side.

Frenchmen Jaylen Hoard (14pts, 5reb, 1ast, 1stl, 1blk) and Olivier Sarr (5pts, 4reb, 1stl, 1blk) weren’t enough for Wake Forest (1-1) that suffered a 89-69 defeat at the hands of Saint Joseph (3-0).

Gonzaga (3-0) on the other hand remained undefeated by beating Texas A&M (1-2) 94-71. Filip Petrusev helped out with 10 points, six rebounds and two blocks, while Joel Ayayi played four minutes.

Dutch center Matt Haarms had 10 points, five rebounds, four blocks and one assist in Purdue (3-0) 92-70 win over Appalachian State (1-2).

Slovenian forward Martin Krampelj scored four points, grabbed four rebounds, blocked two shots and made one steal, but Creighton (2-1) lost 69-60 to Ohio State (3-0).
