Martin Krampelj didn’t keep his two-digit scoring streak going, Utah State’s Portuguese duo wins and Kuba Niziol sinks clutch free throws during Saturday’s NCAA action.

Martin Krampelj continued his junior NCAA season on Saturday. The Slovenian forward started and posted six points, five rebounds, one assist and one steal. However, Creighton (6-3) was defeated by #24 Nebraska (8-2), 94-75. Krampelj is now averaging 8.1 points and 4.6 rebounds per 2018-19 match.

Portuguese Diogo Brito and Neemias Queta scored 13 points apiece in Utah State’s (8-2) 76-67 win over Weber State (5-4). The junior guard added eleven rebounds and three assists, the freshman center had seven rebounds, three assists, three blocks and one steal. Michal Kozak, Donatas Kupsas and Dima Zdor were in action for the losing side, but didn’t score.

Senior Kuba Niziol helped Cal Poly (3-5) in its 80-78 overtime win (68-68) against Bethune-Cookman (4-7) with six points, four rebounds, one assist and one block. The Polish forward was the one that forced overtime with a pair of free throws.

Serb Djordje Dimitrijevic played ten minutes but failed to get on the board during Mercer’s (4-6) 89-74 loss to Georgia Southern (6-2).

Dane Asbjorn Midtgaard also went scoreless for Wichita State (4-4) that lost to Oklahoma (8-1), 80-48.

Slovak Marek Dolezaj posted two points and a rebound in Syracuse’s (7-2) 72-71 victory against Georgetown (7-2).
