Maccabi Tel Aviv put on a furious first half (54-32) and managed to hold off Hapoel Jerusalem’s comeback for an 89-78 road win in Israeli League.
Scottie Wilbekin led the winning effort with 18 points (5-7 from deep), five assists and four rebounds while Johnny O’Bryant added 13 and Tarik Black 12 points.
For Hapoel, Josh Owens and J’Covan Brown scored 15 points each in addition to James Feldeine’s 13 points.
Maccabi improved to 17-4 and stands at the top of the standings together with Unet Holon while Hapoel Jerusalem follows with a 15-6 record.
