Maciej Lampe started the Chinese League playoffs hot, but wasn’t enough for the Jilin Northeast Tigers that dropped the first game of the best-of-three series against the Fujian Sturgeons. The 34-year-old Polish big went off for 43 points in the 111-105 defeat. Naturalized Ukrainian Pooh Jeter of the winning side was held to 12 points.

Naturalized Croatian Justin Hamilton scored 36 points for the Beijing Ducks that began their series with a 110-97 victory over the Shanghai Sharks. Also, Miroslav Raduljica put up a 30-point, 13-rebound double-double for the Jiangsu Dragons in their 103-101 win against the Shandong Golden Stars and Donatas Motiejunas.
