Dejan Davidovac scored a team-high 20 points including the two win-sealing free throws as Crvena Zvezda defeated archrival Partizan Belgrade 98 – 94 in Game 1 of the Serbian League Finals.

With nine seconds remaining and the score 96 – 94, Davidovac hit 2/2 from the line to put his team at a two-possession distance. Partizan had come back from a 10-point deficit, 81 – 71 early in the fourth period, to go up 83 – 84 with three minutes left thanks to eight points by Alex Renfroe. Red Star reacted with a 5-0 run and never gave up the lead.

Renfroe finished with 20 points, four rebounds and four assists while Partizan captain Novica Velickovic scored 17.

Apart from Davidovac, Filip Covic had 18 points plus five assists and Ognjen Dobric 16 points for Zvezda. NBA Draft prospect Borisa Simanic finished with 14 points (4/7 triples) and three rebounds in 20:08.
