Billy Baron scored a game-high 25 points as Crvena Zvezda beat archrival Partizan Belgrade 96 – 90 in Game 3 of the Serbian League Finals to take a 2-1 lead.

Red Star needs one more win to claim the title while Partizan will look to tie the series in Game 4 at home.

Like Game 1 and Game 2, the result of this match was decided in the last minutes as well. After Partizan came back from a 79 – 69 deficit to make it 85 – 83 with 1:52 remaining, Baron hit 3/3 from the line. Partizan’s Alex Renfroe scored for the 88 – 85 and then his teammate Rade Zagorac was called with an offensive foul and a technical.

The hosts made the most out of this opportunity since Baron scored the free throw and then KC Rivers drained a 3-pointer to put his team up 92 – 85 with 31 seconds left to play. Partizan couldn’t overcome this margin.

Vanja Marinkovic had 21 points for Partizan. Renfroe finished with 18 points, eight assists and six rebounds.

Apart from Baron, Dejan Davidovac scored 17 with 4/7 triples for the winning side.
