The French Jeep Elite League game between reigning champion ASVEL Villeurbanne and AS Monaco planned for Sunday (1/3) has been officially postponed to a later date following the decision by the country’s government to cancel all indoor gatherings and events of more than 5.000 people due to coronavirus concerns.

French Health Minister Olivier Veran announced the decision to cancel Saturday (29/2). The French government has also banned all public gatherings in North Paris, the worst-hit area. When the announcement was made, there were 73 confirmed coronavirus cases in France and two deaths.

Saturday’s (29/2) match between Strasbourg and Le Portel was also postponed.

So far, Italy has been the only country in Europe where all domestic competitions have been postponed until further notice. Two EuroLeague Women matches that were scheduled to take place in Italy were also postponed.
