Jure Zdovc was announced by Metropolitans 92 as the new head coach of the Jeep Elite Pro A club.
The 53-year-old Slovenian takes over for recently departing Frederic Fauthoux who is expected to replace Zvezdan Mitrovic at LDLC ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne.
Zdovc is set to work in France for the first time. His last head coaching stint was in Slovenia with Olimpija. Previous jobs include the Slovenian national team, also Greece, Russia, Turkey, and Croatia at the club level.
An 18-7 record lifted Metropolitans 92 to fourth place in the Jeep Elite Pro A up to the decision to suspend the 2019-20 season due to the coronavirus pandemic.
