Mathias Lessort pushed Monaco to its first win of the season in France.

AS Monaco took advantage of the momentum from the EuroCup road win over Andorra to get an easy win in the opener of Day 3 in the French Jeep Elite League while ASVEL, despite a valiant late comeback to force overtime, still suffered a loss to JL Bourg.

ASVEL – Bourg-en-Bresse 102-104

Although ASVEL made a 12-1 run including a three by Antoine Diot (22 points) to force overtime, the joined forces of Danilo Andjusic (22 points), Zachery Peacock (22 points), and Zackary Wright (21 points) were too much in the end as JL Bourg got away with a win.

In addition to Diot, David Lighty scored 12 and Kevarrius Hayes 11 points for ASVEL.

AS Monaco – Roanne 86 – 61

Mathias Lessort dominated inside the paint with 17 points and 10 rebounds while also pitching in three steals for 30 PIR as Monaco bounced back from the home loss to Boulogne Levalois by making short work of Roanne.

Marcos Knight also had 17 points for the Monegasque side while J.J. O’ Brien scored 13.  Ronald March (14 points), Jackson Rowe (12 points) and Nijal Pearson (11 points) scored in double figures for Roanne.

Limoges – Le Portel 91 – 68 

Nicolas Lang scored 23 points and Jerry Boutsiele contributed 19 points, six rebounds and four assists as Limoges routed Le Portel. Boris Dallo had 13 points plus six rebounds and Mikyle McIntosh added 12 points plus seven boards for the visiting squad.

Le Mans – Gravelines Dunkerque 69 – 64 

Le Mans prevailed over Gravelines Dunkerque in a defensive battle. Ovie Soko led the winning side with 16 points and six rebounds while Scott Bamforth and Kaza Kajami-Keane dropped 11 points apiece.

For Dunkerque, Corey Davis posted a game-high 21 points. Cameron Wells had 15 points.

Chalon/Saone – Strasbourg 54 – 76 

Strasbourg overpowered Chalon 13 – 30 in the fourth quarter to get its first win of the season. Bonzie Colson led with 20 points and 10 rebounds and Ishmail Wainright added 19 points plus five boards.

Teyvon Myers (17 points, five rebounds) and Myles Hesson (16 points) stood out for Strasbourg.

Metropolitans – Cholet 72-68

Metropolitans came out on top against Cholet thanks to Vitalis Chikoko who lead the way with 16 points and eight boards while Brandon Brown added 13 and Anthony Brown ten points.

For Cholet, Lasan Kromah scored 17 in addition to Michael Stockton’s 16 points and eight assists.

Dijon – Chalon-Reims 87-72

Alexandre Chassang had 22 points and four rebounds as Dijon completed its Round 3 obligations against Chalon-Reims with a victory, Jaron Johnson tapped 14 points and Jacques Alingue had 11. Jalen Adams led Chalon with 17 points, Dominique Archie added 15 points and Travis Leslie followed with 14.
