A couple of days after completing the 2021-22 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague campaign, LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne rolled Orleans, 87-73. In a comfortable fashion, the team coached by T.J. Parker improved to 18-8 in France’s Betclic Elite LNB Pro A Regular Season.

Promising upstart Victor Wembanyama logged a team-high 17 points behind 7/12 field goals in the Round 27 affair. Youssoupha Fall added 16 points. Chris Jones exited with an injury to his hand and Marcos Knight (foot) was ruled out prior to the game remaining on ASVEL’s injury list. Meanwhile, the game-high 22 points produced by Nobel Boungou Colo did not do the trick for the hosts.

Narrowly holding on Boulogne Metropolitans 92 defeated JL Bourg, 80-73, on the road and jumped to 20-7. Former Tennessee Jordan McRae paved the way with 23 points. Israeli forward Tomer Ginat chipped in 15 points and nine rebounds.

Ahead of Game 2 of the Basketball Champions League Quarterfinals best-of-three series opposite Hapoel U-NET Holon at Rhenus Sport on Tuesday, SIG Strasbourg logged a convincing home win, 82-60, versus JDA Dijon.

Heading to the EuroLeague Playoffs, AS Monaco carries a 19-7 W-L tally at the domestic level. La Roca Team is scheduled to take on ESSM Le Portel Sunday, JDA Dijon Tuesday, and Elan Bearnais Pau-Lacq-Orthez next Sunday before Game 1 of the best-of-five series opposite Olympiacos on 20 April.

Saturday results:

Le Mans – Cholet 67-80
Orleans – LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne 73-87
JL Bourg – Boulogne Metropolitans 92 73-80
SIG Strasbourg – JDA Dijon 82-60
