Despite resting several key players, AS Monaco blows out Fos-sur-mer

After a successful stay in Greece covered most of the week, AS Monaco shifted back to France’s Betclic Elite LNB Pro A Regular Season and logged a 93-66 victory against Fos-sur-mer in a one-sided affair Sunday.

Florida State product Dwayne Bacon dropped 21 points starring in the Round 31 contest. Fellow American import Donta Hall packing 17 points fell narrowly short of his season-best scoring showing. Senegalese big man Ibrahima Fall Faye produced a 13-point, 12-rebound double-double.

Serbian guard Danilo Andjusic threw in 13 more points and Lithuanian Donatas Motiejunas had 12 points wrapping up the double-digit scoring pack. Paris Lee put in eight points and a game-high six assists. For the visitors, Jamar Diggs registered a team-high 16 points.

Will Thomas, Alpha Diallo, Yakuba Ouattara, Rob Gray, and Mike James were inactive for La Roca Team. The team coached by Sasha Obradovic will jump right back into the EuroLeague Playoffs as a host of Game 3 and Game 4 versus Olympiacos, Wednesday and Friday, respectively. The best-of-five series is tied at 1-1 after a couple of contests in Greece.

In the French League, Monaco improved to 22-8 on Sunday. Boulogne Metropolitans 92 moved to 22-8 on Friday. Currently sitting at 21-8, LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne will welcome Elan Bearnais Pau-Lacq-Orthez at Astroballe Tuesday evening. It will be a three-team race down the stretch of the Regular Season looking to clinch the top seed in the Playoffs.
