Strasbourg came very close to a huge upset but Monaco proved to be a tough nut to crack.

AS Monaco erased a 20-point deficit to defeat Strasbourg 82 – 80 in overtime and win the best-of-three quarterfinal series of the French Jeep Elite League 3-1.

Mike James scored 24 points (on 8-27 shots) for Monaco including the jumper that forced the extra period with four seconds left in regulation. Donatas Motiejunas (18 points, six rebounds) made the go-ahead basket and Dwayne Bacon (13 points, seven rebounds) then also scored to help the hosts remain up for the rest of the match.

Yannis Morin finished with 19 points plus 10 rebounds for Strasbourg. He was the one to hit the floater for the 70 – 72 before James drained the game-tying jumper. James Roberson had 17 points plus seven assists and Amine Noua scored 14.
